CUMBERLAND with some of her standing rigging in place.
For yards and furled sails I use a sheet I created in a paint program and printed on my color printer. There are yards, booms and other rigging pieces in various sizes. I cut each out with an exacto, coat the inside with glue and fold over an apropriate length of piano wire. The result is a nice three-dimensional yard which I super glue to the mast, right onto the tiny squares of balsa. The paper-on-balsa is fairly strong, but after that dries I will coat the joint with superglue for added strength. The result will absorb considerable tugging when I rig it.
CUMBERLAND further along in the rigging process. Note the printed sails....
